Jim Powderly, CPA

Jim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in North Carolina and Florida. He graduated from Florida State University with two degrees/three majors in Accounting, Finance, and Economics. Jim started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked primarily with Fortune 500 companies. His focus is with small business owners and high net worth individuals in the real estate, banking and medical fields.
Jim also serves as the CFO for two Charlotte based companies in commercial real estate and bio-oncology research field.
He has served on the board and as the treasurer for many local charities including the Lupus Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Charlotte Oncology Nursing Society.
Alex Vuchnich, CPA, CFE
Director of Accounting and Assurance Services
Alex is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in North Carolina and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and holds a Masters of Accountancy. He has a diverse background with over a decade of experience in public accounting where he has served business and not for profit clients ranging from software developers to private schools and foundations. Alex has supervised and conducted audits of organizations ranging from under $10 million in revenue to over $100 million. He has been published in numerous journals and has been invited to speak at conferences and seminars on various topics on technology and financial analysis.
Alex is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has taught accounting policy as an adjunct professor at Queens University of Charlotte. Alex regularly volunteers in his community teaching financial literacy through programs at the YMCA and local after-school programs. He is the secretary of the Orchid Hill Homeowners’ Association, an appointee on the Mecklenburg County Audit Review Committee, the Charlotte Privatization and Competition Advisory Committee and the Charlotte Tree Advisory Commission.
